Black Forest

The Black Forest has gifted the poets inspiration. Perhaps you find here what you are looking for! Trails, ravines and lakes are at your feet!

From Freiburg, you can drive through the romantic Höllenthal to the Black Forest through a place called Himmelreich.

Top, shortly after Hinterzarten with its world-famous ski jumping hill, there are several large and small crystal-clear lakes, which are relics of the Ice Age between the mountains and invite you to boat trips, walks along the banks; in the winter to ski and ice sports.

In the place named after the Titisee there has been a water park with palm trees, saunas, several slides, relaxation oases and waterfalls recently.

The Black Forest is full of sensations. From the longest waterfalls in Triberg on the mountain wilderness park Steinwasen, the record-breaking summer toboggan run on Todtnauer Hasenhorn, the world-famous cuckoo clocks and the products of glass-blowing art. You find fun, sport and culture here!

Our lakes and waterfalls

The Black Forest is richly blessed with streams and lakes. Everywhere there are waterfalls rippling from the mountain heights down into the valleys. However, there are not just a few feet - rather the geological features of the Black Forest lead to impressive natural spectacles like the waterfalls in Triberg, whose water masses thunder 163 meters into depth.

On the banks of Titisee and Schluchsee there are lots of rowing, pedal and electric boats available, which can be rented. However, sailors also get something for their money. Quite convenient to enjoy, the lake cruise on the "MS Schluchsee", an excursion boat with "Zäpflebar" (named after the famous beer called "Tannenzäpfle").
